Shoutout Colorado

Hey all…this is pretty cool. Shoutout Colorado is an online magazine, part of a larger company called Voyage L.A. They do in depth profiles of many different people; business owners, artists of all kind, entrepreneurs, folks doing a wide variety of creative projects. They basically ask you a few questions, and let you do the talking. They contacted me last December, and it was released Saturday. It was perfect timing; I am just finishing my sci fi memoir, to be called Amanyathankadonas, after 7 years of writing. This profile is a sort of musical memoir. I plan on adding this to my book. It was a missing piece.

They want you to focus on the city you’re in; the plan is to get people to be aware of what’s going on in their communities, perhaps get them to focus their time and money on the talented people who are in the area. I moved to Socorro in 2022, and was a bit surprised they took me on. I was in Denver for 48 years, and had a great career there. I’m sure that figured in. I wrote about the risks of being a musician; my musical highlights; Socorro and Denver, and my main mentors. They also put a lot of pics in that I sent. Artists live by the press. It’s how people find out who we are. I’m delighted to be a part of this. Hope you can check it out…hey from Socorro…Hstick

Letter from Socorro New Mexico

Hey all…some of you already know this; I moved to Socorro NM August 9th. Big change at 70. I was gonna write a detailed account of all that happened, maybe another time. I will say this; I love it here. 10,000 people, the home of New Mexico Tech, a highly regarded University, and the Very Large Array radio observatory is 50 miles west, one of the most important astronomical sites in the world. Simply; after 49 years in Colorado, and a very good musical career, I was not digging living in Denver anymore. The high prices, the “gentrification,” the incredible amount of development, the noise; just not happening for me. I was not playing out much anymore, which was fine by me, but was feeling closed in, nothing to look forward to, no future. I had been thinking of moving for at least a year, and the Socorro connection came together really fast. I still feel sorta stunned; I am 500 miles away from Denver, in a great 1 bedroom casa that I pay $750 a month for. My electric bill this month was $14, as was my car insurance. There is no traffic, but yeah, still some goobers in loud cars, but way different than the drag racing all over Denver. This city seems to have stopped developing about 1950, ha. Trying to describe how it’s laid out is difficult; there appears to be no logical reason the streets go the way they do, some only going a few blocks before they disappear. Lotsa abandoned buildings and vacant lots; it seems that when a house is empty, it stays that way for years. Streets turn into dirt roads. Private property signs on many houses, that’s fine by me. People seem to keep to themselves a lot down here, and again, okie by me. I live on the SW side of town; closer to the college, up north, it looks a little more normal, but still pretty haphazard. It’s a hoot.

What I did not expect was the great music scene I’ve found here. I am semi retired, not trying to get much of anything going; but it turns out many folks here love music, and play, study, and really appreciate good music. I got in a very good blues band, Blue Monday, and we’re at Socorrofest this Saturday (poster attached). Starting to play with some other people as well, and picking up some students. I also have a few Denver folks who are staying on with Skype. There’s a great club, The Capitol, and there’s music there all the time. The Farmer’s Market on Sat is also a fun gig, a social scene, and a lot of great organic food. Of course, the New Mexican landscape is breathtaking; I wanted to live in the desert since I read “Journey To Ixtlan” in 1973…here I am. Been on a couple of walkies, many more to come. It is the boonies out here. Yes, the college is perhaps the centerpiece of Socorro, and it’s not uncommon to find PhD’s playing in the local bands, and taking lessons. I have been into astronomy since I was 5, so having the VLA so close is great. Turns out the singer and bassist in Blue Monday both worked there for years. It’s pretty ez to have some great conversations. Yup, I’ve been told there’s some meth issues, and overdoses, as well as some rather poor folks. It is a city after all. Socorro was founded in 1580 by the Spanish, who had come up from the south, and were helped by the local Indian tribe here. Only St Augustine is older. The Trinity nuclear bomb site is a bit east, and Roswell is not far either. Oh yeah, the harmonica player in the band, Bobby Olguin, won a chili cheeseburger cook off with celebrity chef Bobby Flay in 2017; how can you beat that, ha? The physicists from Trinity, such as Oppenheimer, used to come to San Antonio, just 8 miles south, to eat back in the day, at the Owl Cafe, also known for it’s burgers. A lotta history in the area.

I am very glad I moved. Went to Albuq today for weasel food and to hang with Rahim. I was reminded how much I dislike big cities once again. I do not miss Denver in the slightest. I was fortunate; I was renting, had no real attachments in Denver (cept for my daughter, but we’re always close), and was lucky to get connected here with Francie, who rented me the casa, and is also a fine musician herself. What is to come, I do not yet know. I feel Socorro is a very unique place, some sort of special energy here. I am starting to really feel retired; no pressure to do much of anything, which is not the easiest feeling for me to feel…but I love it. I feel really accepted here for who I am; the people I’m meeting are a real good bunch. I’ve been told you tend to love it here or hate it; I’m in the first category. I like the funkiness, the strange layout. When I stand in my yard, seeing 3 times as many stars as I did in Denver, as well as the dust of the Milky Way; hard to beat.   Looking forward to the future for the first time in years; also a great feeling. More updates to come…all bestest…Hstick  (Oh yeah, all the groups at Socorrofest are from here, cept for Lee Rocker)

The Lucifer Rebellion/White Supremacy

I’ve actually been doing more writing the last few years than playing. There were two books on microtonal music and theory, and an article on the Oud for Vintage Guitar mag. Since 2017, I’ve been working on, if slowly, a sort of sci fi memoir; something like that. I have 8 notebooks of my scribblings, and am now starting to type them out. I can’t read my own writing, which is printing anyway; now I can see what I was really saying, ha. Not sure how it will wind up, it’s changing as I go. I do know I want to talk about many of the things I’ve learned over the years. I’ve looked into many different cultures and spiritual philosophies, and had many interesting experiences of my own. I’ll also go into some of my rather unusual childhood, and life as a musician. The article you see here is from the book. The picture of the woman, Kandiss Taylor, I just found, and it fits perfectly with what I’m writing about.

I want to say that, over the years, I’ve had to be careful what I say to people about the things I’ve studied. I know that I can be rather intense, and have had to learn how to temper that a bit. I had a very strange lesson in 1973. I went to visit a friend; when I knocked on his apartment door, a girl answered. She took a look at me, and slammed the door without saying anything…wowie. I think my friend then let me in. I thought this was really weird. I was living in a hippie house in KC at the time with a man who had been an early Scientologist, and had known L. Ron Hubbard. His daughter and her young son were also there, and a few other people. I told him what had happened; he said it was likely that she had known me in a past life, and simply freaked out for some reason when she saw me again. An instant chemistry. That was kind of new to me, and started me thinking about how I affected people. When my first CD “The Gate” came out, a friend said she couldn’t listen to it because it was too intense. Years later, another friend heard one of my microtonal pieces; he said things would have to get pretty bad before people would listen to music like that again. I know I can freak people out by things I say. Not intentional. But I have gone places most people have not.

Perhaps now is the time to be intense. That’s why I wrote this article. America is disintegrating from within; we are an armed camp of millions of disturbed people. Death and chaos are in the air; we are not safe anywhere we go. There is much hatred, many opposing groups, all with their own agendas. The rest of the world is the same. We are a hair trigger away from a nuclear catastrophe. The weather is rapidly changing, with records being set over and over. The earth is running out of resources; this is real. No one seems to have any answers. For myself, I see things from a deeper spiritual level; what sort of teachings are we following? What are we aligning our inner selves with? What caused humanity to follow a path that has led to such destructive ends? This article discusses some of that. It is not easy to read, but it’s not supposed to be. I will say; if you don’t wish to be disturbed, perhaps pass this by. It’s ok. If there are not drastic measure taken soon, we are in big trouble; we actually already are. As Sheriff Bell said in No Country For Old Men; if this ain’t a mess, it’ll do until the mess gets here.

Kandiss Taylor? She just lost the Republican Primary for Governor in Georgia. Look at the message on her bus. It’s worse than that. She believes the Native Americans “sacrificed” their lands so she and her kind could worship Jesus. This isn’t so far from what many white people in America believe; she just puts it out in the open. I believe this article explains well where she, and the millions of others like her, derive their twisted ideas. If this seems a bit extreme, so are people like Taylor. They are the ones responsible for the terrible situation we are in today. I think I know why. Thnx for reading.

The Urantia Book is one of the most unusual and unique books ever written in human history. It is a cosmology that explains the structure of the universe in a fashion totally different than anything ever seen before. Nothing you’ve ever read about the many religions here on this Earth can prepare you for what is in this book. In fact, they are explained as rather primitive attempts, on the part of humans, to describe the much deeper realities that are presented there. It first appeared in 1955, from a group in Chicago, calling itself the Urantia Foundation. The book is still in print, and also available on the Internet.

The origins of this book are rather mysterious, and it appears that the people who publish it want to keep it that way. They wish the focus to be on the book itself, not on who wrote it, or just how it came to exist in the first place. This is very unusual in itself. This is not a cult, because there is no charismatic person who leads it. It is not new agey, as it’s ideas are far beyond anything related to that concept, and it shares nothing of that simplistic philosophy. There has never been a lot of publicity about it, no push to sell a lot of books, so making money off of it is also not an issue here. So, just what is it?

Basically, it is a description, and history of, the universe from a perspective never written about before. In this book, Urantia is the name given to the Earth, and our place in this local section of the universe is described in Paper 57: “Urantia is of origin in your Sun, and your Sun is one of the multifarious offspring of the Andronover nebula, which was onetime organized as a component part of the physical power and material matter of the local universe of Nebadon. And this great nebula itself took origin in the universal force-charge of space in the superuniverse of Orvonton, long long ago.” Urantia is also described as the place where the seventh bestowal of Christ Michael occurred, known to us as Jesus Christ. He is known as a Creator Son, of which there are many, and is the ruler of the section of the universe where Urantia is located. Does that mean that this is some sort of Christian book? Not really, as the scope of the book is far beyond anything presented in the Bible. Yet, the person we know as Christ and his mission will figure very large throughout the book, and his life is looked at in stunning, day by day detail, in the last 700 pages of the book.

That’s correct; the book itself is over 2000 pages, and is among the most complex spiritual philosophies ever written, or imagined. Yes, there are incredible texts to be found in many of the Earth’s religions, including Hindu, Christian, Hebrew, Buddhist, Muslim, Egyptian and others, as well as ancient oral traditions among the Indigenous people of the world. But again, nothing in those will prepare a person for what is contained in this book. A look at the Urantia Foundation website explains some of the history. It started as a like minded group of people who met to discuss spiritual issues over several years, early in the Twentieth century. The book developed over the next few years as a series of papers, revealed (somehow) by a group of spiritual beings who were assigned to bring the teachings to Urantia. Who, on the human plane, was given these teachings? And then wrote them down? There are guesses, but nothing definitive. Why were they given in the first place? Again, there is no answer as of yet. The Lucifer Rebellion is Paper 53, and explains how this once Light being decided to split off from the teachings of the Creator, and basically create his own kingdom-universe, if you will, separate from the rest of the universal structure.

Of course, the name of Lucifer, and who-what he is, has been discussed for many years, and there is still a lot of controversy around this. In Christian traditions, Lucifer and Satan are often seen as interchangable names for the same spiritual being. Here, Satan is a lieutenant of Lucifer’s, who was convinced to follow his master in the split from the Creator; they are totally different beings. There are many other beings subordinate to Lucifer, including such names as Daligastia and Caligastia, as well as Beelzebub, which will be familiar to those who have looked into the darker side of Christianity. But most of what is written here will be a real mind bender to anyone who reads it; it will also help to see this paper in the much larger context of the whole book.

In the Urantia Book, there are an amazing number of names, ideas, and places throughout the universe, as well as an incomprehensible array of beings who inhabit it, performing complex spiritual tasks far beyond what humans have ever imagined. Havona is the center of the universe, and all the rest of the Creation circles around it. It is beyond all concepts of time, space, and distance. While mainstream astrophysics says the universe was created by a big bang, 13.8 billion years ago, the Urantia book states that “987,000,000,000 years ago associate force organizer and then acting inspector number 811,307 of the Orvonton series, traveling out from Uversa, reported to the Ancients Of Days that space conditions were favorable for the initiation of materialization phenomena in a certain sector of the, then, easterly segment of Orvonton.” From Paper 57, The Origin of Urantia. And it continues from there, describing how the vast forces in the universe were then shaped into our section of the Creation, over many hundreds of billions of years. The great bassist Jaco Pastorious wrote a song called Havona; and according to Room Full of Mirrors, a bio of Jimi Hendrix, he too had a copy of The Book of Urantia. It had only been out for a little over 10 years then.

Indeed, mainstream scientists and their devotees may have a tough time with this, as the ideas presented here are far beyond anything they can conceive of. But hey, that’s ok. He felt that much of what they said about the structure of the Cosmos was speculation anyway. The Urantia Book describes the universe most importantly from a spiritual, non material aspect, but also how the material realms are then created, administered, and guided by a mind boggling array of celestial beings, including the Creator Sons, of which Christ Michael is one. The story of who He is, and how He came to this planet, is a big part of this book. It seemed the best advice would be for curious people to read it for themselves, and come to their own understanding of this book. For if they did not read it, how then could they comment on what it said? He felt that the information in Paper 53 made a great deal of sense; especially in the light of the condition of the world in 2022. As people were reading it, he wanted them realize that all of the unfamiliar names and ideas were a small part of something much larger.

“Lucifer was a brilliant primary Lanonandek Son of Nebadon. He had experienced service in many systems, had been a high counselor of his group, and was distinguished for wisdom, sagacity, and efficiency. Lucifer was number 37 of his order, and when commissioned by the Melchizedeks, he was designated as one of the one hundred most able and brilliant personalities in more than seven hundred thousand of his kind. From such a magnificent beginning, through evil and error, he embraced sin and now is numbered as one of three system sovereigns in Nebadon who have succumbed to the urge of self and surrendered to the sophistry of spurious personal liberty-rejection of universe allegiance and disregard of fraternal obligations, blindness to cosmic relationships. In the Universe of Nebadon, the domain of Christ Michael, there are ten thousand systems of inhabited worlds. In all the history of Lanonandek Sons, in all their work throughout these thousands of systems and at the universe headquarters, only three System Sovereigns have ever been found in contempt of the government of the Creator Son.”

The rest of the paper goes into great detail about how and why this occurred. Then Paper 54, Problems Of The Lucifer Rebellion, explains how mercy and judgement also figure in to the resolution of the rebellion. It is explained that Earth-Urantia was immediately quarantined from the vast network of universal communications at the time of the rebellion, and that the Creator has up to 48 reasons as to His timing of ultimate judgement of Lucifer and his followers, most of which involve Divine Mercy. Again, it is of utmost importance to be aware that all of this occurred in vast spiritual realms, involving time frames well beyond what most people are used to thinking in. In the Bible, the phrase War in Heaven was used to very superficially describe what happened. Lucifer is mentioned just once in the whole of the Bible, and Satan a few more times than that. Although much has been read, written and discussed the last 2000 years about this subject, most people have only a vague understanding of what all of this really means. A few sentences in the Bible really doesn’t explain very much. In a poem by the Celtic Bard Taliesyn, there is a line that says “I was with my Lord in the heavens/When Lucifer fell into the depths of hell.” This is from around the Sixth century AD.

There were two overarching realizations that came to him from his understanding of these papers. Simply, that Lucifer was-is a narcissist at the core of his being, a being that is only concerned with focusing on himself to the exclusion of all others. Second, being a narcissist meant that Lucifer essentially created his own solitary universe, separate from the rest of creation, with his own rules and ways of doing things. This is expressed in the following statement from Paper 53: “Lucifer charged that the Universal Father did not really exist, that physical gravity and space-energy were inherent in the universe, and that the Father was a myth invented by the Paradise Sons to enable them to maintain the rule of the universes in the Father’s name.” This went under the name of the Lucifer Declaration Of Liberty. In other words, he was creating a false version of reality, one he made up himself. By denying the very existence of the Creator of the universe, Lucifer and his followers set off on a path that diverged from reality, and began creating a synthetic alternate reality, with Lucifer as God.

It was often said that Lucifer was a light bearer. In fact, that is the meaning of his name. That was correct; except it was a false light. A light that only illumined his own false outlook. Since Lucifer had indeed been a Light being himself, before he created his own un-natural universal worldview, he was able to present himself as a being from the Light. Which could make it difficult for people to be able to tell the difference, as had happened many times throughout history. There are many stories that speak to this. Christ said, in Matthew 24:24, that even the elect could be deceived. Writing these words, he wanted to emphasize again; when we speak of Lucifer, Satan, and their many minions, it is vital to comprehend that these are spiritual beings-forces of very ancient origin. And like the consciousness of Christ and the Light, can, and do, manifest themselves through human form.

This subject was certainly nothing new, to anyone familiar with religious texts, and had been known throughout all history as simply the eternal battle between good and evil. It existed in every culture in some form or other. Because of the endless depictions, in Christian mythology, of the “devil” as a red guy with horns, tail and pitchfork, for instance, it was ez to turn all of this into a sort of buffoonish clown show. Athiests and scientific materialists such as Carl Sagan loved to do just that. It was not a clown show. It was deadly real, and the condition of mankind in early 2022 spoke eloquently to this reality.

After reading through the Urantia Book for over 30 years, he believed this paper explained the meaning and consequences of this often misunderstood idea very well indeed. A formerly great spiritual being decided, for reasons only he knew, to split off from the larger Creation, and create a world of his own making, taking many others along with him. “But this war in Heaven was very terrible and very real. While displaying none of the barbarities so characteristic of physical warfare on the immature worlds, this conflict was far more deadly. Material life is in jeopardy in material combat, but the war in heaven was fought in terms of life eternal.” P. 606. Once again, this is an idea that has existed for a long time. The Urantia Book explained it extremely clearly.

Here on this Earth, on the material realm of universal existence, we rarely realize that we are indeed spiritual beings first, acting out, in physical form, much deeper realities that have their origins in the timeless vastness of non material realms. We are a spirit, and have a body. As the Urantia Book illustrates, this Earthly life is but one infintesimally small part of a universe composed of an incomprehensible amount of spiritual hierarchies that have existed far longer than the teensy 13.8 billion years so dear to the scientific materialist’s hearts. The material universe we now find ourselves in is also populated with countless other intelligent beings, most of which are far more evolved than our spiritually infantile and violent civilization. We are the equivalent of cosmic pre-schoolers, if even that.

The Urantia Book speaks of a final judgement for Lucifer, Satan, and all the rest of the beings who departed from the path of the Creator. The Ancients Of Days are spoken of as the judges who will make the final decision. And when they do, those who willingly defied the laws of the Creator, even though were offered Divine mercy repeatedly, refusing it each time; they will be eliminated from the universe completely. “We believe that all rebels who will ever accept mercy have done so. We await the flashing broadcast that will deprive these traitors of personality existence. We anticipate the verdict of Uversa will be announced by the executionary broadcast which will effect the annilhilation of these interned rebels. But then you will look for their places, but they shall not be found.” Then “And they who know you among the worlds will be astonished at you; you have been a terror, but never shall you be anymore.” “And thus shall all of these unworthy traitors become as though they had not been. All await the Uversa decree.” Paper 53.

He felt that this helped explain the prophecies of the end times that were found in Christianity, Islam, Hopi, and many other Earth-Urantia based religions. Yes, evil will surely be eliminated. There is no other outcome. But, as with many other ancient wisdom teachings, this had been greatly distorted from the far deeper spiritual meaning and implications. Judgement was assured, and was unchangeable. But it would happen in Creator’s time, on a level far beyond the level of most humans to conceive of. In the Bible, Christ stated that no one, not even himself, knew when the end times would come; only the Father.

Again; who wrote this astonishing book, and why? Well…who really wrote the Bible? Yes, some of the authors are known, but certainly not all, including the four Gospels. Yet, the Bible is accepted as truth by many millions over the years. Who wrote the ancient Hindu scriptures? Sumerian, Babylonian, Mayan, Egyptian? Did the Buddha say all of the words attributed to him? Lao Tzu is thought to actually be a sort of compilation of wisdom sayings, not necessarily a real person. There are no writings from Pythagoras himself; yet his teachings have influenced many through the years. With the Urantia Book, he would always ask; who could even conceive of such a book? If it was true, then was it communicated the way the Urantia Foundation said? By celestial beings who were assigned to give this information to the people of Urantia? Of course, he knew this would be difficult for many people to even imagine. Truth be told, he didn’t blame them. But, the fact was that all through history, most cultures acknowledged that yes, spiritual beings can, and do, enter the human body, usually during times of ceremony. The famous Hopi Kachinas are one of the best examples of that, as are the ancient Greek Oracles, as well as shamans and healers from every culture in the world. This is very ancient knowledge, nothing remotely new age. In fact, the belief that this does not happen is actually very new, and came about, again, because of scientific materialism.

If the UB was not true, factual, was it simply a product of someone’s imagination? Some sort of incredibly advanced science fiction story? That raised many questions. One more time; this is a 2000 page book, describing a universal structure and history that was unique in human history, on a scale beyond the wildest imaginings of most human beings. It owed very little, if anything, to any book ever written. Finnegan’s Wake was like Reader’s Digest in comparison. If fiction, then the person-persons who were even able to conceive of such a tale were geniuses of the highest order. And if that was the case; what kind of person would take the enormous amount of time to even write it in the first place? For what goals? As was already noted, there was no visible leader of the Urantia Foundation, no one attempting to get people to follow this teaching, as you always see in a cult group. Why spend the time and energy to create such a massive and complex book if money or some sort of personal glory was not involved? No ez answers. Everybody knew Shakespeare was fiction, and that perhaps Sir Francis Bacon actually wrote the plays. But they were among the most quoted literary works in history. Because the wisdom was more important than the human author.

After over 30 years, he was still not sure of just what the UB was. He believed that the basic premise of the book was indeed true. That there was a universal foundation that was being presented for the first time in human history. That the planet we call Earth, now Urantia, was a rather unique place because of the bestowal of Christ Michael. That the ultimate goal of a human being was to eventually merge with the Creator, after moving through many successive stages of spiritual development. Was the stupefying hierarchy of the universe, as presented in the book, with its dizzying spiritual-administrative structure, correct?  Was the science-geology-history of Urantia that was described valid? Were the 700 pages describing Christ’s life accurate? The story of the Lucifer Rebellion? He figured that, since this book was indeed transmitted through someone, a human being, even though that person-persons remained anonymous, that you needed to figure in human fraility and mistakes, perhaps misinterpretations. As well, the spiritual beings who revealed the book often said that using the English language to describe many of the concepts and ideas was inadequate. For the concepts presented here are very difficult to understand. This is not casual reading.

He found this book to contain among the most difficult set of ideas he had ever encountered. He also believed, overall, that there was indeed great wisdom to be found in those pages. As he wrote these words, he wondered how many people would even be curious enough to look into it. If they did, which was always the best idea, then they could make their own informed decisions. He knew the book, and especially Paper 53, had opened his own mind in ways that were still having an effect on him.

White Supremacy

One of those effects was a greater understanding of what was called white supremacy. Which seemed somewhat simple on the surface, but had much deeper spiritual implications that were rarely talked about, and which most people were not even aware existed. Of course, human beings had been kicking each others asses since day one. Fighting and warfare were the norm, rather than the exception; this was distressing enough. But when the Europeans started colonizing the planet, beginning roughly in the 1400’s, white supremacy then became a major force in human interactions.

He had long wondered; why did white Europeans believe that they were the master race? What were the real roots of this bizarre belief system? That having lighter skin somehow qualified those of this race to take the lands and then dominate almost all other cultures throughout the world? Again, this was rarely brought up in discussions of white supremacy and racism. Without an understanding of the underlying causes, why it was that white people felt this way, there could never be a real solution to this issue; no matter how many words were spoken, no matter how many demonstrations there were, no matter how many laws were passed. Some saw it as the legendary “Curse of Ham,” from the Old Testament, a basic part of the fabric of Christianity. Perhaps that was part of it. But not all.

After studying Paper 53 for many years, he had come to the conclusion that WS was simply an offshoot of the teachings of Lucifer, on the deepest level. Lucifer, as has been mentioned, was often referred to as the Light bearer, a being that came to bring Light to humanity. But, as he split from the rest of the Creation, it was indeed a false light. A white light that did not truly illuminate, but instead a light that was used to dominate others. The white light of Lucifer became the belief that those humans with the lightest skin were chosen to rule all others. And in the twisted philosophy of Lucifer, this was then turned around and justified under the banner of Christianity. That white Christians had the God given right to take possession of the Earth, to set the laws for all people they conquered, to use the lands as they saw fit, and to feel completely justified in doing so. This was never more fully demonstrated than in the concept of Manifest Destiny, which the Europeans created to justify the taking of Indigenous lands in what came to be called North America. It was believed that God Himself had ordained the Euros to cleanse the land of the worthless savages that inhabited it. Overlooking the fact that they had been here for countless thousands of years, since after the Great Flood, and were the rightful caretakers of this land. The Book Of The Hopi was highly recommended reading.

This had nothing to do with any teachings of Christ. The white people that believed this were somehow confusing Christ with Lucifer. He knew that this would be most difficult for people to understand, but it was the truth. Look at the history of the Catholic Church, for example. The horrors they inflicted on people throughout the years could hardly be called Christlike. Everywhere they went, they brought domination, death and suffering, even to fellow Europeans. And to this day, they have thousands of pedophile priests, who have never suffered the consequences of their actions. That is a Luciferian teaching. But even in 2022, the Church had a billion followers who somehow managed to ignore and overlook that tragic history. After Luther’s split from the Church, many new forms of Christianity appeared over the years. Even though they no longer followed the Pope, their views of  whiteness remained very similar. Yes, there were surely those who did not share in this philosophy, and they were to be admired.

A simple look throughout the history of white colonialism proves that almost all denominations of Christian churches still took white supremacy for granted. Everywhere they went, they attempted to destroy Native spiritual beliefs, and try to convert the people to their version of Christianity. This is the basis of what is called cultural genocide. By replacing Native traditions with white Christianity, the very foundation of a society is altered to conform with something that no longer resembles the original spiritual path of the dominated people. This is a devastating process, and it has happened in most cultures that the Europeans conquered.  Most Christian churches had missionaries, whose purpose was to bring Christ to those darker skinned races, in the name of saving them. But it was, and is, about dominating them, and trying to make them as much like white people as possible. In this process whole cultures were destroyed, their children taken away to be educated-indoctrinated in white schools, and in the process their own spiritual beliefs, languages, ways of dressing and living their own cultures, were all forbidden to them. In case someone is not aware of all of this, there are countless books and articles on this subject; ez to find.

To go around the world speaking of Christ, being saved, Democracy, but then killing many, taking their lands, and imposing total dominance on them; he could not see how this was Christian in any way. Yet, this was the version of Christianity that was totally ingrained in many millions of people across the world. To point out that this was a false version of Christ wasn’t going to make a whole lot of people very happy. Especially those that saw it as the truth. It was well documented, and in fact was still occurring around the whole planet, wherever the remaining Indigenous people were having their lands taken for industrial use or for the metals that lay underneath the ground. Their forests were still being burned down, their waterways poisoned, and the people being deprived of their ancient ways of life. Not to mention all of the animals who were being destroyed in this process as well. From the Amazon to New Guinea to Australia, the white supremacists were still doing what they had been doing for hundreds of years, and still getting away with it. While believing they were Christians. Of course, the Chinese were also exploiting and destroying Indigenous lands as well, and they were far from Christian.

The Nazis also had the exact same idea of white supremacy, as did the white South Africans. The United States gave much material support to Hitler, mainly through corporations, and basically turned a blind eye to the rise of the Nazis. There were many Nazi sympathizers, including Henry Ford and Charles Lindburgh, and Winston Churchill spoke approvingly of both Hitler and Mussolini. During the War, the US turned many Jewish immigrants away, sending them back to Europe. Anti-Semitism was a big part of America from the start. The Ku Klux Klan hated Jews as much as Black folks. After WW 2, the US brought many Nazi scientists over to help develop weapons, and build the rockets which eventually got us to the Moon. Nazi/SS member Wernher von Braun was the greatest rocket scientist of the Twentieth century. America has always had a soft spot for Fascism and Nazis. That’s why the US took over Haiti in 1914, installed the Shah of Iran with a coup in 1953, and supported the many brutal dictatorships in Central America, as well as Francisco Franco’s dictatorship in Spain. And that’s why there are still so many in the hundreds of militias across the country, and in political office as well, especially in the Western states.

No; this was a dark and evil pathway, and originated in the narcissistic and demented ideas of a once Light and very powerful spiritual being. He felt the Lucifer Rebellion explained all of this very well. Which is why he was talking about it in this book. These ideas in no way contradicted anything in the Bible. In fact, it helped make it much clearer. Perhaps those who read these words might begin to start looking deeper into why white Europeans believed themselves superior to all other races. If there was a more compelling reason, he did not know what it was.

“On the other side of the coin-Lucifer’s side-the belief that he does not exist at all is an enormous advantage that he has never enjoyed to such a great degree. It is the ultimate camouflage. Not to believe in evil is not to be armed against it. To disbelieve is to be disarmed. If your will does not accept the existence of evil you are rendered incapable of resisting evil. Those with no capacity of resistance become prime targets for possession. Just.” Dr. Malachi Martin, from “Hostage To The Devil, Five Cases of Demonic Possession.”

BRIDGE Podcast with Neil Haverstick

Hey all…my very first Podcast interview. John emailed me outta the blue a while back; I had been recommended to him by tuning theorist/musician Bill Sethares, whose writings were a big help to me when I started getting into microtonal stuff in 1989. This was a hoot indeed. John is very ez to talk to; we started out with coffee and spiders, and went all over the place from there. He made it very ez to just be myself, not always the case with interviewers. I have rarely listened to podcasts, but I know many people are into them. If you’re one of those, hope you can check this out. This is pretty improvisational, which is the way it oughta be…safe passage…Hstick

The Hopi Prophecies are Coming True – Here’s Why we Should Pay Attention

https://thehill.com/changing-america/opinion/566362-the-hopi-prophecies-are-coming-true-heres-why-we-should-pay

… the vision of the now famous Hopi prophecies that describe this time of Powateoni, of purification, of social and ecological disruption that will eventually bring a time of lasting peace over the world’s people. But before that, we will have to go through the eye of the storm…

Hey all…I ran into this article from August 2021 by accident, found it remarkable, and decided to share it. I wrote a long piece about my feelings regarding the Indigenous folks in 2020, so I’ll let this speak for itself. I have been interested in these issues for much of my life; having Choctaw DNA on my maternal side is a factor, I am sure. I knew of my great grama Sabra all of my life. My late cousin Ron did a great deal of research into those roots, and I have a lotta emails he sent. I’ve learned a lot about why I feel many of the things I do. It’s difficult to find out much when we get into reservations; not a lot of written records, but I plan to continue to look into all of that.

The “Book Of The Hopi,” by Frank Waters, should be read by all Americans. It’s a history of this continent from the people whose ancestors came here long long ago; much longer than is assumed by anthropologists. Waters lived with the Hopi for 3 years, from 1960/63, and talked to 30 Elders, now all passed on. They spoke of their history, legends, myths, ceremonies, and their deeply spiritual philosophy of the Earth and Universe. They also spoke of their prophecies, what they saw coming in the future. The Hopi consider themselves the caretakers of this land; not owners, as they don’t believe in land ownership; it belongs to the Creator, and humans share it with many other life forms. All Indigenous people across the Earth feel the same way about their lands, and have their own stories to tell as well.

We live in a world dominated by scientific materialism. To speak of ancient Indian prophecies may seem foreign to some; but most religions have prophecies of the end times, so it’s a familiar subject to most people. In 1948, the Hopi Elders held a 4 day meeting, and chose 4 men to be the speakers for their teachings. The late Thomas Banyacya was one of those; here’s a quote from a 1976 talk to the United Nations Habitat Forum in Vancouver, BC: “This desecration of our spiritual center must not be allowed to continue for if it does, Mother Nature will react in such a way that almost all men will suffer the end of life as they now know it.” My feeling is that this is what we are now starting to see, all over the world. Each year new weather records are being set; fires, incredible hot temperatures, hurricanes, tornados, record drought, the drying up of rivers and reservoirs, too much snow/too little snow. This is real. The La Palma and Tonga volcanos are also part of this.

The Hopi, and others, say that mankind has left the spiritual path, and caused the world to be out of balance. Again, I believe this to be true. With our technology, we have created a world in man’s image, changing it from what was originally created and intended. We have all heard the words “conquering nature;” this is what science has attempted to do, and it has failed mightily. Which is why we see the things that are happening today. The Hopi speak of a Great Purification, and say it has happened three times previously; we are now in the fourth world, preparing for the cleansing that will move us into the next, or fifth world.

Can all of this be changed now? Personally, my belief is we have set something in motion that is too late to turn around with the Earth Herself. That doesn’t mean we quit trying; my favorite saying is “anything can happen,” and it can. But, there is next to no serious action being taken by major governments to address what needs to be done. It would mean a complete revamping of our whole materialistic world. There is a great deal of talk about “climate change;” but no action is being  taken. Banyacya’s words are almost 50 years old. No one was listening then; maybe they will now. This article is very well written, and a serious statement about where the world is in 2022. I still believe miracles can happen. Maybe if enough people also believe that, they will…safe passage…HHH

Conservationists call for Veto of Wolf Eradication Bill

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Conservationists call for veto of wolf eradication bill

Contact:

Talasi Brooks, Western Watersheds Project (208) 336-9077

Garrick Dutcher, Living With Wolves (208) 726-3987

Suzanne Asha Stone, International Wildlife Coexistence Network, (208) 861-5177

BOISE, Ida.—Today the Idaho Legislature passed S. 1211, a bill that seizes wildlife management authority from the Idaho Fish and Game Commission and aims to reduce Idaho’s wolf population by 90 percent, largely on the public’s dime. Governor Little should veto the bill, which is a power grab by the Idaho Legislature eroding the powers of the Executive Branch and inserting politics in decision-making that should be reserved for science-based wildlife management by agency professionals. The bill will waste millions of dollars of public funds on killing wolves, and threatens to ultimately return the species to the endangered species list and federal management.

S. 1211 aims to reduce Idaho’s wolf population to 150 wolves, the bare minimum population to avoid re-listing under the Endangered Species Act. It does this by allowing for killing wolves by all methods used to kill coyotes and wild dogs, including night hunting and aerial gunning; allowing unlimited wolf trapping and snaring on private lands; and increasing funding for the Idaho Wolf Depredation Control Board, among other measures. If the bill becomes law, there will be no margin for error. Conservationists stand ready to compel an Endangered Species Act listing if viable wolf populations aren’t sustained in the face of these heavy-handed new methods.

The Idaho Legislature’s lavish spending on wolf killing in S. 1211 vastly surpasses the value of the livestock lost to wolf predation.  In 2018, for instance, 3 percent of reported sheep losses, valued at $154,000 were caused by wolf predation; meanwhile 74 percent, valued at $4,027,000, were due to natural causes including disease and bad weather. In 2020, of 2.5 million cattle and 300,000 sheep in Idaho, only 102 were confirmed lost to wolf predation. 93 of 1,500 wolves in Idaho–almost six percent of the state’s estimated population–were killed in response. And hundreds more wolves were killed across the state by hunters and trappers.

Nevertheless, for the past several years, the Idaho Legislature has directed $400,000 in Idaho tax dollars to fund the Idaho Wolf Depredation Control Board, a war chest for killing wolves. S. 1211 increases that amount by approximately $190,000 annually. In total, the Wolf Depredation Control Board will now receive approximately $800,000 a year, earmarked for massive lethal control that doesn’t work.

Not a single dollar of this bloated budget for wolf killing can be spent on nonlethal methods that science shows actually work to prevent conflicts and save livestock. While recent science shows that killing wolves can cause more livestock deaths, the Idaho-based Wood River Wolf Project has a 13 year history of success preventing those by using nonlethal methods, losing on average just 5 sheep out of 20,000 grazing in wolf territory annually. These nonlethal methods are not only highly effective, they are less expensive than lethal control programs. Instead of taking advantage of improved protection for livestock, S. 1211 just continues dumping money into trying to exterminate wolves rather than helping local residents to coexist with them.

S. 1211 also newly allows Wolf Control Board Funds to be paid to private contractors, opening the door to feeding public funds into the pockets of extreme groups like the so-called “Foundation for Wildlife Management,” an organization that pays glorified wolf bounties to trappers. But, contrary to often-repeated false rhetoric, we don’t need to kill wolves to “save elk,” either. Idaho has had near-record elk harvests for the past several years, with the current stretch of stellar elk harvests inching towards the Idaho Department of Fish and Game-dubbed “best of all time.” Fish and Game also estimates the state’s elk population to be within a few percent of its all time record high and finds that elk population numbers are meeting management objectives across most of the state.

Research from Yellowstone National Park shows that wolves play a critical role in ecosystem health, affecting everything from birds, to scavengers, to willows and aspens in what has been called a “trophic cascade.” Wolves also help protect the health of elk and deer herds by culling diseased animals from herds. And, wolves are known to kill, out-compete and displace coyotes, a carnivore that causes far more livestock losses than wolves. To realize these effects, a healthy wolf population must be sustained over time. Heavy-handed targeting of wolves like what is occurring in Idaho prevents the full ecological benefits of wolf occupancy from ever being realized.

All S. 1211 will do is hemorrhage public funds and position wolves for return  to federal management under the Endangered Species Act. This past year, over 500 wolves were killed in Idaho. Science is clear that wolves cannot withstand such heavy-handed annual killing without suffering population-level effects. And, the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service’s rule delisting wolves in Idaho stated the agency would consider reinstating Endangered Species Act protection if “a change in State law or management objectives would significantly increase the threat to the wolf population.” Killing off 90 percent of Idaho’s wolves blows past that threshold.

This statement was delivered to Governor Little on behalf of Western Watersheds Project, The International Wildlife Coexistence Network, the Endangered Species Coalition, Predator Defense, Friends of the Clearwater, the Center for Biological Diversity, Great Old Broads for Wilderness, Living With Wolves, The 06 Legacy, National Wolfwatcher Coalition, Wilderness Watch, Colorado Wolf and Wildlife Center, and Christine Gertschen.

The Racism behind the article “Why Land Acknowledgements reflect an Ignorance of American History,” by Casey Chalk… from The Federalist Site, March 9th 2021

“The deeply rooted racial prejudice of the Anglo-white Americans against the Red Indians, virtually a national psychosis, is one of the strangest and most terrifying phenomenon in all history. It has no parallel throughout the Western Hemisphere.” Also: “The precedent was set by a Pequot massacre shortly after the Mayflower arrived. Of this Cotton Mather wrote proudly, “The woods were almost cleared of these pernicious creatures, to make room for a better growth.” A century and a half later Benjamin Franklin echoed this opinion when he wrote of “the design of Providence to extirpate those savages in order to make room for the cultivators of the earth.” From “Book Of The Hopi,” by Frank Waters (1963). These two quotes, and many more like them, reflect the basic opinion of the White Europeans who came to this land towards the Indigenous inhabitants of this continent, starting in 1492 with Columbus. The words creatures and savages pretty much sums it up. Not human beings. When I read his article, I realized that Mr. Chalk is just one more in a very long line of White people who still feel this way about the Indians. Of course, there are many hundreds of books that look at these last 500 years in great detail; I’ll list some of my favorites at the end of this article. I’m going to look at a few of the things he said here, and comment. Read Chalk’s original article on The Federalist.

First…the term “Land Acknowledgements” is a ridiculous, new agey, meaningless label that does not remotely reflect the real issue. Which is, that the whole continent was taken from the over 500 tribes/nations that have been here for uncounted thousands of years, and the inhabitants were forcibly transferred to what we quaintly call “reservations.” That simply means that the Europeans took their ancestral lands for themselves, and put the Indians on often the worst, most unproductive lands they could find. I’m betting many Americans have little, or no, knowledge of this history, but it’s easy to do some research and see for oneself that this is what happened. There were/are also many hundreds of treaties between the tribes and the US Government that were broken or ignored; also historical fact. Treaties between nations are legally binding. Which means the Federal Government is breaking it’s own laws. This is what needs to be acknowledged. Mr. Chalk also states “Like most new racial history exercises, Land Acknowledgements are less about a true reflection of the past than grievance politics and superficial gestures.” When I read this, my eyes popped out. Again, meaningless and confusing words that have nothing to do with the reality of the situation. Intellectual gobbledygook is my term for this.

This is not a “new racial history exercise;” it’s about the truth of who were the original inhabitants in N. America, many thousands of years before the Europeans arrived, so it’s actually very ancient. By stating it in this bizarre way, Mr. Chalk makes it seem like some sort of collegiate study program that recently came into being, rather than a 500 year nightmare for the Indigenous people. Using the terms “grievance politics and superficial gestures” is so bonkers that it’s difficult to understand where this man is coming from. No, it’s much simpler and real than that. It’s not about politics or superficial gestures. There’s nothing superficial about what happened to the Indians. It’s about their lands being taken away from them, and all of the horrors that came with that reality.

Many thousands of Indian children were forcibly taken from their families, and put into government “boarding schools.” Their hair was cut; they were forbidden to speak their tribal languages, forbidden to practice their traditional religions, and many, if not most, were sexually and physically abused by their Christian captors. This also happened in Canada and Australia. It was an attempt to destroy their Native cultures and ways of life. This is known as cultural genocide. It caused tremendous grief and anguish to all of the families involved, and destroyed many innocent lives in the process. You might ask yourself; by what mandate did the White people commit this crime? They invented a term called “manifest destiny,” which was the belief that their Christian God gave them the right to “civilize” the savages, and take their lands, “to make room for the cultivators of the earth,” as Franklin stated. Of course, this also happened all over the planet, everywhere the Europeans went. Africa, India, Australia, Southeast Asia; the Europeans believed they had the right to take the lands from the original inhabitants. The 10 million people of the African Congo who were killed by the Belgians under King Leopold are one of the most horrid examples. Again, all historical fact, but not something racists like to talk about much. They also tried to convert as many Indians as they could to Christianity, once again destroying their culture in the process.

Not only did the White people take the Indian lands and children; they also started on a campaign to exterminate most of the wild animals they found, and were very successful. At one point in the late 1800’s, millions of bison were slaughtered, their carcasses left on the plains to rot. This was partially done to deprive the Indians of their main food source. There were once millions of wolves here as well, but for some reason, the White people had a deep seated hatred of these beautiful animals, and they were almost wiped out. To this day, wolves are still being hunted mercilessly in many states. And the Government agency known as Wildlife Services kills many animals every year, in deference to ranching and livestock interests. According to nywolf.org, 1.3 million were killed in 2019, and over 400,000 in 2020. This has been going on for many years. Also, with industrialization came what we call “pollution,” but poison is a better word. This was a pristine land 500 years ago; now the rivers, land and air are full of deadly chemical poisons. Try drinking out of any river on this continent. Not to mention the deadly uranium poisoning on Navajo lands from mining operations, which exposed many people to radiation, causing much physical illness.

Another old racist tactic Mr. Chalk used was talking about how violent the Indians were to each other. As if to say that makes it ok to take their lands. I’ve looked into the history of many cultures around the world, and unfortunately human beings have been a very violent and warlike species for as long as we’ve existed. If there were any essentially peaceful cultures, it’s hard to find them; perhaps the Hopi should be mentioned. Again, this is all very well known, so…why single the Indians out? When I responded to this article on The Federalist site, I quoted from Karen Armstrong’s book “Fields Of Blood; Religion and the History of Violence:” The First Crusade was especially psychotic. From all accounts, the Crusaders seemed half crazed. “They killed all the Saracens and Turks they found,” the author of The Deeds of the Franks reported approvingly. “They killed everyone, male or female.” The streets ran with blood. Jews were rounded up into their synagogue and put to the sword, and ten thousand Muslims who had sought sanctuary in the Haram al-Sharif were brutally massacred. “Piles of heads and hands and feet were to be seen,” wrote the Provencal chronicler Raymond of Aguilers: “Men rode in blood up to their knees and bridle reins. Indeed, it was a just and splendid judgement of God that this place should be filled with the blood of unbelievers.” (p 214)

This is just manifest destiny under another name, the Crusades. For some unknown reason, Europeans have often used the name of God to justify their violence and atrocities, as have many other cultures. And that is the mentality they brought to this continent as well. Yes, Indians were tough and vicious warriors, no doubt. Compared to the wide spread horror and carnage the Europeans brought to every culture they conquered, however,  they were amateurs. Check the Catholic Inquisition and the slaughter of the Cathars as well, not to mention the many thousands of pedophile priests and criminal popes. What the racists rarely do, however, is look into the spiritual teachings of the Indigenous people, which were very profound, and often on a level beyond the understanding of the White people. They had deep reverence for the land and animals, and a connection to the Creator that was usually incomprehensible to Christians. It’s so much easier to justify genocide if the people you’re destroying are savages and creatures, like calling Vietnamese “gooks” and worse during the Vietnam war. The Indigenous people everywhere were human beings who did all the things humans do, and that included violence against each other. But, they were not savages and creatures. As I read Mr. Chalk’s article, I was constantly reminded of the great lengths racists have gone to “prove” Black folks were inferior to Whites; like measuring their craniums to show they weren’t as intelligent. I was actually surprised Mr. Chalk did not resort to this reasoning as well. There were scientists who dug up Indian graves, took the bodies to their laboratories and boiled the flesh off to “study” their physical characteristics; look it up.

BTW…the original title of this article was “Why it’s ignorant and racist to pretend U.S. lands still belong to Native Tribes.” Something very strange happened; as I mentioned, I put the Crusades quotes on the Federalist thread; this was on the Tuesday the article appeared. Much to my surprise, on Wednesday my comment had been deleted and the article was gone. Then, it reappeared with the current title, but my comment had vanished permanently. Which leads me to think someone in the Federalist organization didn’t much like what I had said. I can see why. I also wonder why they changed the title of the article, or why The Federalist would even print such a bigoted article as Mr. Chalk’s.

As far as books, here’s a few, and there are plenty of others as well. These are simply some that I’ve read over the years. “Bury My Heart At Wounded Knee,” by Dee Brown, is the history of how the Indians lost their lands. Extensively researched, it’s all there, and a very painful read. “Book Of The Hopi” should be read by every American. Frank Waters lived with the Hopi for 3 years, and with his translator, Oswald White Bear Fredericks, talked to 30 Hopi Elders. The book goes into great detail about their history and mythology, their migrations across this continent many thousands of years ago, their deeply profound mystery plays/ceremonies, and their prophecies. Their ancestors came to this land long long ago, after a great flood, which is of course mentioned in the Bible and in other cultures as well. They say this is actually the 4th world, and that there were two other catastrophes before the flood. The late Lakota Vine Deloria Jr wrote many great books; “Custer Died For Your Sins” is probably his best known. “God Is Red” goes into great depth about Indian concepts of spirituality, and “Red Earth, White Lies” is often very funny in it’s dismantling of many incorrect scientific ideas about Indians, such as that the Indians came from Siberia via the Bering Strait . “Black Elk Speaks,” by John G. Neidhardt, is a legendary book about the life of the great Lakota sage/healer Black Elk; and “The Sacred Pipe,” by Joseph Epes Brown, describes the ancient sacred rituals that the Lakota perform with the Pipe, which was brought to them 2000 years ago by the White Buffalo Calf Woman. Black Elk wanted Brown to write about these before they were lost forever. And both “Crazy Horse, the Strange Man of the Oglalas,” by Mari Sandoz, and “The Killing Of Crazy Horse,” by Thomas Powers, offer a look at the life of one of the most remarkable men that has walked this Earth. And there are countless books regarding the hundreds of other tribes.

I watch a lot of the TV station First Nations Experience (FNX), which has a great many shows about Indigenous people, including their long history, and what’s happening in Indian country today. I find it very encouraging that, even after the hundreds of years of repression and hardship, many Indians are keeping their ceremonies and traditions alive, passing them onto the younger generations, and looking to a better future. Trying to keep a balance between the old ways, and being part of modern society, has always been a difficult process. Some tribes have built casinos, some have invested in energy projects and other businesses, many young Indians have left for the cities, and some reservations are still in deep poverty. The problems that have come with being dispossessed from their ancestral lands have been many, but they are proving to be a very strong and resilient people. They have not given up. Just being who they are, however, is still very difficult in this country.

What I find darkly fascinating in this time of BLM, and now the rising awareness of racism against Asians, is the fact that Mr. Chalk kind of casually writes such a racist article against the Indians. Unfortunately, I believe that’s because this racism is so ingrained among many White Americans that’s it’s taken for granted. One woman on the Federalist site actually mentioned that Ms. Deb Haaland, now Secretary of Interior, may have been a wife of Crazy Horse; wowie. And that’s how Mr. Chalk’s article started out; as a protest against Ms. Haaland’s appointment. Of course, I believe that’s why he attempted to once again paint Indians as the savages and creatures he appears to think they are. As if to say, how dare this savage be Interior Secretary. Ms. Haaland’s confirmation to this important position is a very bright spot for future changes in the way Indians have been treated by the United States. It’s not surprising to see people like Mr. Chalk attacking her in this way, and unfortunately, I believe she’ll be dealing with more racists during her tenure.

Because of this, I wrote this article to say, enough. When civil rights are discussed, the rights of the Indigenous people are rarely, if ever, mentioned. Since Americans of all races and religions walk their ancient lands, I believe it’s time to acknowledge the tragic history of how America actually came to be, and begin to find the way to right this terrible wrong. Which is actually simple; start by honoring the broken treaties, and returning these lands to the people that were appointed by the Creator to be the caretakers many thousands of years ago. Both morally and legally, this is the only correct path forward. Of course, this would involve a great deal of change to the landscape of this country. I am not optimistic this will happen, but with the political will to correct these historic wrongs, steps can be made right now to start this process; perhaps Ms. Haaland’s confirmation is pointing the direction. If these actions are not taken soon, and this travesty is allowed to continue, then we may do well to pay heed to the ancient prophecies, which speak of what is referred to as the Great Purification, which the Hopi say has already happened 3 times previously. In a 1976 talk to the United Nations Habitat Forum in Vancouver, B.C., the late Hopi Spokesman Thomas Banyacya said, referring to the Hopi heartland in the Four Corners area: “This desecration of our spiritual center must not be allowed to continue for if it does, Mother Nature will react in a way that almost all men will suffer the end of life as they now know it. All we ask is that this place be respected and protected by all nations who have sacred duty and responsibility. Every measure must be taken to preserve this spiritual center.” There are many other such warnings from the tribal people, all over the world, and they have been totally ignored. In the last few years, we have seen a huge increase in record setting fires, hurricanes, floods, temperatures, and other natural disasters. Perhaps this is what Mr. Banyacya was referring to. There may not be much time left to act.

“The entire Hopi prophecy takes many days to tell, and many lifetimes to fully understand.” Thomas Banyacya

Why Land Acknowledgements Reflect An Ignorance Of American History

I read this article on the Federalist site on Tuesday afternoon. I thought it was the most blatantly racist piece I’d seen against Indigenous people in ages. Kind of strange; after all of the unrest around the BLM movement issues, and then somebody says all of this about Indians? I plan on writing about this soon. After I read it, I put 2 different comments up. When I went back on Wednesday, the article was taken down, and could not be reached. My second comment had also been deleted from their thread. Then, the article came back on their site with a yes, new name. And my comment was still deleted. I believe it hit a nerve with them. I hope you’ll take a look at this, and realize this man is, once again, trying to present the over 500 tribal nations that have been here for countless thousands of years, as some sort of insignificant roadblock in the way of manifest destiny. Their lives are meaningless to him, and the others like him. This should not be allowed anymore. When will people start standing up to this? I wish to write him, but can’t locate his email. If anybody can find it, would love to have it…all bestest…HHH

Here’s the article:

Mars

I’ve been thinking about writing this for quite a while, and with the landing of the Perseverance rover, well, now’s the time. I’ve been fascinated by all things outer space since I was 5, and still am. When I was a little one, I used to fantasize fleets of flying saucers coming over the Western horizon at sunset; still waiting, ha. I also started reading science fiction very early, mostly Robert A. Heinlein and Ray Bradbury. Bradbury’s “The Martian Chronicles” is my favorite sci fi book to this day, followed closely by the Frank Herbert masterpiece “Dune,” which I’ve sometimes thought is a thinly disguised book about ancient Mars. I’ve long thought Bradbury must have spent time on Mars in some past incarnation. The way he describes it in “Chronicles” sounds…right, somehow. The book was actually a collection of short stories he had written about Mars, later collected into the book. The story “Night Meeting” is my single favorite piece of writing to this day. Bradbury had a very poetic writing style, and could invoke mysterious vistas with just a few words. I should also add that I’ve never believed that science fiction was “fiction;” I figured that anything they wrote about had happened somewhere in the Universe, or was going to happen. Which opens another subject; where do artistic ideas originate in the first place? Another time.

I also have been a huge follower of the space program since that early age. I remember seeing a timetable in a magazine, which said they would land on Mars in, yes, 1985. I realized I’d be 34 then, and could maybe be one of those first people to go there. Didn’t make it, but hey, that’s ok. My dad had been a Navy pilot on a carrier in the Pacific during WW2, and I’ve always thought that may have spurred my interest in flying in the first place. In 8th grade, I wrote a term paper, the “Race To Space.” I started with all of the experimental planes, the X-1 through the X-15, followed by the Mercury, Gemini and Apollo programs. Of course, by spring of 1965, only Mercury and Gemini had flown, and Apollo was a bit in the future. But, NASA also had most of Apollo designed at that time, and when it started flying shortly after, including the 1969 Moon landing, much of what I had written about went exactly as planned. I still have this paper, all written in longhand, and I get a hoot out of showing it to young folks. But…what about that 1969 Moon landing? To this day, there are people who think it was a “hoax,” as the saying goes, and the whole thing was filmed by none other than Stanley Kubrick, who produced the great masterpiece “2001, A Space Odyssey,” which he wrote along with Arthur C. Clarke (and blew the shorts of a whole generation when we saw it). The question I always ask is: what about the 5 other Moon landings, ending with Apollo 17? And where was the ill fated Apollo 13 flight going when disaster struck? No one ever has an answer for that, and we’ll leave it there for now. And for a bit of trivia, I’m betting few people know that Buzz Aldrin, the 2nd man on the Moon, and also a 32nd degree Freemason, claimed the Moon “as being in the territorial jurisdiction of the Grand Lodge of Texas.” Ez to look up; check the Tranquility Lodge 2000, and “The New Age Magazine,” November 1969, a Masonic publication. Kenneth Kleinknecht, the manager of the Apollo program, was a 33rd degree Mason. Interesting stuff. Does the Moon belong to the Masons?

Speaking of Mr. Clarke, here’s a quote from the February 2001 issue of space.com: “I’m fairly convinced that we have discovered life on Mars. There are some incredible photographs (from JPL), which to me are pretty convincing proof of the existence of large forms of life on Mars! Have a look at them. I don’t see any other interpretation.” Thank you Mr. Clarke. And that’s the subject of my article. I started doing some Mars research over a year ago, and discovered a vast world that I had no idea existed. I started by just looking around on the Internet for Mars pictures; I found a zillion of them, and some very serious people who had been looking into this for years. There are at least 3 NASA satellites that have been taking hundreds of thousands of pictures of the Martian surface, as well as the Rovers; all of these are online, and available for anyone to look at, all public domain. What the researchers are doing is simple; they look at pictures that cover a wide range of the surface, called Gigapans, and then through recently developed software, they can zoom in to look at very small areas in great detail. And they have found, as far as myself and Mr Clarke are concerned, convincing evidence of a past civilization (s?). Of course, this is where the fun begins, as there are plenty of folks who do not agree with this premise. Including NASA, who often state that they are only looking for “microbes” on Mars. Yet, they themselves speak very confidently of ancient riverbeds and oceans on Mars, and the reality that Mars also had an atmosphere at one time, now reduced to very little. They have also found recent evidence of water coming out of Martian cliffs, and those pics are ez to find. Vast bodies of water can mean life. Not just microbial.

I find it somewhat amusing that in today’s world, we have many movies about superheroes, time travel, space vehicles, and events in galaxies “far far away.” Yet, if someone dares suggest that there was life on Mars, for real…well, that’s a fantasy, tin foil hat stuff, “ancient aliens,” conspiracy theories. Which leads me to ask simple questions, such as; why couldn’t there have been (or still be) life on Mars? Or on zillions of other planets? Plz give me a sensible reason, and I’ll believe you; I cannot think of any. In a Universe with 100 billion galaxies (a conservative estimate), which means trillions of planets, it seems absurd that ours is the only planet with life. Beyond absurd, actually. I’ve reflected on this phenomenon a great deal, and it seems to me that there has been, and still is, a kind of bizarre narcissism with people that cannot conceive of life anywhere else; as if human beings are the pinnacle of achievement in life forms. This was never demonstrated more explicitly than in the position of the Catholic Church hundreds of years ago, when men of science were in danger of being burned at the stake for stating the truth about the many new discoveries they were making. It is still being demonstrated today by many scientists themselves, who, as I just stated, are only looking for microbial life on Mars. And ha, they use a very new agey word, “pareidolia,” which means that humans see “what they want to see,” such as faces in clouds or life on Mars where there are only rocks. I refer to this word as paradiddle, and would also say…if paradiddle exists, then that means NASA scientists are also vulnerable to having it happen. They cannot see what’s right before their eyes, and invent ludicrous explanations that make no sense. Which opens yet another door; why are they hiding what they know about Mars? There are many people discussing this. BTW, Indigenous people all over the world have spoken of “Star People,” and say that they have been aware of these beings for millennia. It seems to be mostly people of European descent that don’t acknowledge this reality. Watch “Indians And Aliens” on the FNX channel.

While doing my ongoing research, I have found some very reputable folks, which means that all of their pictures have direct links to the original NASA photos. Anybody can connect to these links, and see for themselves. I avoid any pics that do not have these links. I got fooled once or twice early on, but no more. I recommend Jean Ward (Mars Anomalies), Keith Laney and Neville Thompson’s Gigapan sites, and Martine Grainey (Martian Genesis), who has found many unusual pictures. There are surely others as well. I am still learning, but have found many many artifacts (or “anomalies”) that are mighty difficult to identify as “natural.” I have also found some repeated phenomenon, things that I’ve seen numerous times, such as what look like statues, columns, heads, animals that may look somewhat familiar to Earth critters, walls with right angles, giant ribbed tubes that are all over the planet, and other things that are as far from natural as we can get. I’ve included some of my favorite pics; I could have chosen many others. And hey, I’m up for intelligent and serious discussions about any of this. Unfortunately, many people resort to childish and goofy comments, which doesn’t help anything. Except to show a great lack of depth on their part.

With all of the artifacts being found, the question arises; what happened on Mars? One thread that runs through the many comments I’ve read is that there was a catastrophic war on Mars long ago, and we are seeing the wreckage of that event. Dr John Brandenberg has stated that they have found traces of elements in the thin atmosphere that could only have come from nuclear weapons. He thinks there was indeed a nuclear war up there (and he wrote a book about it). Others suggest a large comet hit the planet, destroying the atmosphere and life. There are also folks who think that the survivors of that long lost civilization migrated to Earth, and we are the descendants of those people. And that we are very close to destroying this planet as we did Mars. Which does not sound far fetched to me at all.

As far as the narcissism I mentioned; well, recall how the Air Force would always say UFO sightings were weather balloons, swamp gas, Venus, and a host of other ludicrous explanations. Now they are releasing videos of their own pilots having encounters with strange craft, and admitting that they were looking seriously into this area for years. Remember also how the CIA denied the existence of Area 51 for many years, only to finally admit that it did, in fact, exist. The book “Blank Spots On The Map,” by Trevor Paglen, looks into a number of top secret government programs that are hidden from the public, as does “Body Of Secrets,” by James Bamford. And when Harry Truman became president, he was astonished to finally learn of the Manhattan Project, which he was not even told about as vice president. There are many things going on inside governments around the world that they hide from their citizens. I believe the existence of a previous civilization on Mars is one of those. I am having a hoot with my personal research, and as Mr Clarke said, “I’m fairly convinced that we have discovered life on Mars.” I believe that if our governments finally admitted this fact, it could have a very positive effect on humanity in general, to realize that yes, we are indeed just a very small part of a vast network of intelligent life all across the galaxy, and Universe. We crave this in our movies, books, and TV shows. To accept it in real life could be the greatest step humanity has ever taken, and open doors to a vast and infinite reality. I am hoping this will occur very soon.

Christmas CD

Hey all…Neela and I did these 5 Christmas tunes in 2011, and have sent them out every year since. She chose the songs, I arranged them (with her input), and we think they came out pretty well. Some of you may not celebrate Christmas; hope you can enjoy the music anyway. If you already have them, hope you don’t mind seeing them again. To me, this time of year is about the Winter Solstice, and the Sun coming back, heading for spring/summer. It’s one of the most ancient holidays in the world. However you see it, hope it has deep meaning…all best…Hstick
